US woman allegedly aided North Korean IT workers infiltrate 300 firms

The U.S. Department of Justice charged five individuals for operating a North Korea-linked cyber fraud campaign that used laptop farms, stolen U.S. identities, and proxy accounts (including a seized platform, UpWorkSell) to place North Korean IT workers into remote jobs, launder payments, and generate millions of dollars for Pyongyang; arrests, an extradition request, and a State Department reward were announced.
