Pharma giant Novo Nordisk discloses breach of clinical trials data

Novo Nordisk disclosed an IT security breach in which attackers accessed internal systems and copied pseudonymized clinical-trial patient data (patient IDs, trial participation, sex, year of birth, biomarkers, health/immunogenicity data, lifestyle factors) and personal/contact details of an undisclosed number of healthcare professionals; affected systems were taken offline, core business operations reportedly unaffected, and an investigation with external cybersecurity experts is ongoing while the scope and number of affected individuals remain unknown.
