Lee Enterprises newspaper disruptions caused by ransomware attack

Lee Enterprises, a major U.S. newspaper publisher, disclosed a ransomware attack discovered on February 3 that encrypted critical systems and exfiltrated files, causing widespread printing, delivery and operational disruptions across its 77 daily and 350 weekly publications; core products were restored by February 12 while ancillary products remained affected and the company is investigating possible exposure of sensitive or personally identifiable information.
