GHC-SCW: Ransomware gang stole health data of 533,000 people

GHC-SCW disclosed a January 25, 2024 security incident in which threat actors accessed their network, exfiltrated protected health information (names, addresses, DOBs, SSNs, member and Medicare/Medicaid numbers, etc.) for approximately 533,809 individuals, and were later claimed by the BlackSuit ransomware gang; the attackers did not encrypt systems, and GHC-SCW contained the breach with external responders and is implementing strengthened controls and notifications.
