Google ad impersonates Whales Market to push wallet drainer malware

BleepingComputer discovered a phishing campaign that abused Google Search ads to display legitimate-looking links to the Whales Market crypto trading platform but redirected users to a typosquatted site (app.whaless.market). The malicious site imitates the real platform and runs scripts to drain assets from users' connected Web3 wallets; the report explains the redirect technique used to evade ad platform verification and notes Google removed the ads and suspended the advertiser.
