January Windows updates may fail if Citrix SRA is installed

Microsoft warns that the January 2025 Windows 11 (KB5050009) and Windows 10 (KB5049981) cumulative updates may fail to install on devices with Citrix Session Recording Agent (SRA) 2411, causing a rollback with a “Something didn't go as planned” error. Citrix advises a workaround to stop/disable the Session Recording Monitoring service before installing the updates and re-enable it afterward; the issue is expected to affect a limited number of organizational deployments and not home users.
