Hackers claim to hack Resecurity, firm says it was a honeypot

Threat actors claiming to be "Scattered Lapsus$ Hunters" posted screenshots alleging they breached Resecurity and exfiltrated employee, intelligence, and client data; Resecurity says the accessed account was a deliberately deployed honeypot populated with synthetic consumer and payment records and that no production or real customer data was compromised, while telemetry and proxy-related OPSEC failures were recorded and reported to law enforcement.
