Police arrest LockBit ransomware members, release decryptor in global crackdown

Operation Cronos: international law enforcement (NCA, Europol, FBI, Eurojust and partners) disrupted the LockBit RaaS operation by seizing servers and dark web leak sites across multiple countries, arresting operators, issuing indictments and recovering over 1,000 decryption keys. Authorities developed and published a free LockBit decryptor via No More Ransom, seized 200+ crypto wallets, and gathered extensive intelligence on victims, affiliates, and source code; LockBit is reported to have had over 2,000 victims and collected more than $120M in ransoms.
