SEC ends probe into MOVEit attacks impacting 95 million people

Progress Software announced that the SEC's Division of Enforcement will not recommend enforcement action following its inquiry into the MOVEit Transfer zero-day exploitation used by the Clop ransomware gang; the incident involved a large-scale data theft affecting roughly 2,770 companies and about 95 million people, and has produced substantial legal fallout including hundreds of class-action suits.
