Android 15, Google Play get new anti-malware and anti-fraud features

Google announced Android 15 and Google Play Protect enhancements to better defend users against spyware, banking trojans, and screen-sharing scams, including hiding OTPs in notifications, expanded restricted settings, automatic masking of sensitive data during screen sharing, and alerts for unencrypted cellular networks. The update also introduces Play Protect live threat detection using on-device AI and new Play Integrity API signals so developers can detect screen capture/remote access risks, known malware status, and anomalous device activity.
