Stryker attack wiped tens of thousands of devices, no malware needed

Stryker was hit by a cloud-account compromise in which an attacker obtained administrative privileges and used Microsoft Intune’s wipe command to erase nearly 80,000 managed devices, disrupting electronic ordering and causing employee device/data loss; the Handala hacktivist group claimed responsibility, but investigators report no deployed malware or evidence of data exfiltration and the incident was limited to the company's internal Microsoft corporate environment.
