FBI disrupts the Dispossessor ransomware operation, seizes servers

The FBI, working with U.K. and German authorities, seized servers and domains belonging to the Dispossessor/Radar ransomware operation (led by an actor known as “Brain”), disrupting an extortion campaign that targeted small- and mid-sized businesses worldwide; the group exploited vulnerabilities, weak passwords, and missing MFA to steal data, deploy ransomware (including a leaked LockBit 3.0 encryptor), and publicly leak or sell stolen data across breach forums.
