Microsoft reports that Windows 10 updates released since January 23, 2024 (KB5034203 and later) can disrupt discovery of Microsoft Connected Cache (MCC) via DHCP Option 235 on Windows 10 21H2/22H2, causing devices to download updates from the public internet and increasing bandwidth usage; until a fix is delivered, admins can mitigate by setting DOCacheHost/DOCacheHostSource policies or applying available Group Policies, with further guidance forthcoming.
