Odido data breach exposes personal info of 6.2 million customers

Odido, a major Dutch telecom operator, detected a cyberattack on February 7 that breached its customer contact system and reportedly exposed personal data for about 6.2 million customers. Affected fields may include full names, addresses, phone numbers, customer numbers, email addresses, IBANs, dates of birth, and ID numbers; Odido states passwords, call logs, billing data, and ID scans were not exposed. The company blocked access, engaged external cybersecurity experts, increased monitoring, and reported the incident to the Dutch Data Protection Authority while notifying affected customers.
