Men charged in FanDuel scheme fueled by thousands of stolen identities

Two Connecticut men were indicted for a multi-year identity-theft and online gambling fraud scheme: they allegedly purchased stolen PII from darknet and Telegram, created thousands of fraudulent accounts on FanDuel and other platforms to exploit new-user bonuses, tracked victims in a spreadsheet, used background-check services to pass verifications, and laundered about $3 million via virtual stored-value cards and bank accounts.
