Massive DDoS attack disrupts Norway’s government digital services

A large DDoS campaign began on Monday targeting Norway’s shared government digital infrastructure (Digdir and provider Vivicta), causing intermittent outages and slow or failed logins for services including ID-porten, eSignering, and platforms that rely on Digdir; several services have been stabilized but some remain partially inaccessible. Digdir reports no indication of data breach or compromise, national authorities have been notified, and media speculation about possible Russian involvement exists but there is no official attribution.
