New PIXHELL acoustic attack leaks secrets from LCD screen noise

A research report on PIXHELL, an acoustic side-channel proof-of-concept in which malware modulates LCD pixel patterns to produce ultrasonic and audio-range emissions that can be captured by nearby compromised microphones to exfiltrate small amounts of sensitive data (e.g., keystrokes, keys). Tests show feasible exfiltration up to ~2 meters at about 20 bits/sec; mitigations include banning microphones, jamming/noise generation, and monitoring screen buffers.
