Threat actors are exploiting the popularity of Hamster Kombat to distribute malicious Android APKs (Ratel spyware) and Windows stealers (Lumma Stealer) via Telegram channels, fake websites, cloned Play Store apps, and malicious GitHub repositories; infections enable SMS interception, hidden notifications used for premium‑service fraud, and credential/data theft, so users should only use the official Telegram channel and treat copies as likely scams.
