The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department disclosed a vendor-related data breach affecting 3,087,721 hunting and fishing license customers; exposed fields include driver’s license and passport numbers, email addresses, phone numbers, and home addresses while SSNs, DOBs and financial data were reportedly not impacted. Texas Cyber Command is investigating, the agency is working with the vendor to implement safeguards, and affected individuals are offered one year of credit monitoring and advised to guard against phishing and identity-theft attempts.
