Los Angeles Superior Court shuts down after ransomware attack

The Los Angeles Superior Court suffered a ransomware attack starting July 19 that forced the immediate disablement of its network systems, closure of 36 courthouses, and disruption of external and internal services (including the MyJuryDuty portal and case management systems). The court says it has found no evidence of data compromise to date, is working with state and federal authorities on investigation and recovery, and expects a short-term outage while systems are restored.
