Meet the new Clippy: Microsoft unveils Copilot's "Mico" avatar

Microsoft announced Mico, a new empathetic avatar for its Copilot digital assistant, alongside several Copilot feature updates including Copilot Groups (real-time collaboration for up to 32 people), long-term memory, Memory & Personalization, Deep Research Proactive Actions, and Learn Live. The features are initially rolling out in the U.S. with broader availability planned, and follow recent Copilot enhancements like the "Hey Copilot" wake word and integrations with third-party accounts and Office apps.
