Google shares fix for Pixel phones hit by bad system update

Google provided a temporary workaround for Pixel devices affected by the January 2024 Google Play system update that triggered storage access problems, app and camera crashes, and other malfunctions, especially on phones with multiple user profiles. The interim fix requires enabling developer options, using Android Platform Tools and ADB to uninstall two media components, and rebooting, while a permanent update is being developed; users not yet affected are advised to delay installing the update.
