OpenAI is reportedly testing Claude-like Skills for ChatGPT

OpenAI is testing a ChatGPT feature called “Skills,” similar to Claude’s Skills, featuring slash commands, a Skills editor, and conversion of custom GPTs into skills (codenamed “hazelnuts”), with a tentative rollout around January 2026; the document also promotes a report aggregating budgeting and priority insights from 300+ CISOs for the upcoming year.
