Crypto exchange Gemini discloses third-party data breach

Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini notified roughly 15,000 customers that a third-party Automated Clearing House (ACH) vendor was breached between June 3–7, 2024, exposing customers' full names, bank account numbers, and routing numbers. Gemini says other sensitive fields (SSN, DOB, email, addresses, credentials) were not hosted on the vendor and not compromised; the incident is contained and under external investigation while customers are advised to monitor accounts and enable bank-side protections.
