Microsoft rolls out Office LTSC 2024 for Windows and Mac

Microsoft announced Office LTSC 2024 for commercial and government customers, a volume-licensed, perpetual release designed for offline and long-term support environments, offering Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, OneNote, and Access (Windows) with security updates only and device-based licensing; it includes performance, security, and accessibility improvements, expanded Outlook meeting and search features, new Excel capabilities (e.g., Dynamic Charts and Arrays), provides Microsoft Teams as a separate download, retires Publisher after October 2026, and will receive five years of support under the Fixed Lifecycle Policy with general availability on October 1 alongside on-premises Project and Visio.
