Russian charged by U.S. for creating RedLine infostealer malware

The U.S. Department of Justice announced charges against Maxim Rudometov for allegedly developing and administering the RedLine infostealer, part of an international disruption of RedLine and META malware-as-a-service platforms that have stolen millions of credentials; authorities seized infrastructure and communication channels, made arrests, and ESET released an online scanner to help potential victims detect infections.
