Jaguar Land Rover wholesale volumes down 43% after cyberattack

In September 2025 Jaguar Land Rover experienced a cyberattack that forced production shutdowns and sent staff home, resulted in stolen data, and contributed to a 43% drop in Q3 wholesale volumes; the company reported a £196 million (≈$220M) cost and production only returned to normal by mid‑November. The attack was claimed by the Scattered Lapsus$ Hunters collective, disrupted suppliers, and led to a UK government-backed £1.5 billion loan guarantee to help restore the supply chain.
