Brave browser starts testing agentic AI mode for automated tasks

Brave is testing an agentic AI browsing mode in its Nightly build that uses Leo to automate tasks (research, product comparisons, promo-code discovery, news summaries) while enforcing strong safeguards—isolated profiles without cookies or logins, restrictions on non-HTTPS and risky pages (including settings and the Web Store), visible actions with user approval, and an independent alignment-checker model to mitigate prompt injection—maintaining ad/tracker blocking and no-logs policies; testers can enable it via a flag and provide feedback, with Brave doubling relevant HackerOne bug bounties.
