Co-op confirms data of 6.5 million members stolen in cyberattack

UK retailer Co-op suffered a significant April cyberattack in which threat actors, linked to Scattered Spider and a DragonForce ransomware affiliate, used social engineering to gain access, stole the Windows NTDS.dit file and contact data for 6.5 million members (no financial data exposed), and deployed ransomware; four suspects have since been arrested.
