Microsoft: Exchange Server Subscription Edition now available

Microsoft announced the general availability of Exchange Server Subscription Edition (SE), noting it can be installed as a cumulative update on Exchange 2019 CU14/CU15 or joined to existing Exchange 2016/2019 organizations. The release mirrors Exchange 2019 CU15 functionality but changes licensing and servicing to a Modern Lifecycle Policy (evergreen servicing), and Microsoft reiterated that Exchange 2016 and 2019 will reach end-of-support in October, after which Exchange SE will be the only supported on-premises version.
