Ransomware gang leaks data stolen in Rhode Island's RIBridges Breach

The Brain Cipher ransomware group breached Deloitte’s RIBridges platform for Rhode Island, exfiltrating archives and database backups that reportedly contain PII for roughly 650,000 residents (names, addresses, DOBs, SSNs, and some banking information). The state was alerted in early December, confirmed malicious code, and took RIBridges offline; Brain Cipher began posting stolen data on a leak site (now offline) while maintaining a Tor negotiation page. Officials recommend credit freezes, monitoring for fraud, and vigilance against targeted phishing using the stolen records.
