FBI disrupts proxy network enabling Chinese espionage operations

The FBI and Lumen's Black Lotus Labs disrupted a Chinese-linked "quartermaster" service that provided reconnaissance (QScan), an encrypted relay network (Fast Labyrinth), preconfigured access devices (QTRouter), and route-management tooling (QTProxy) used to conduct espionage against U.S. military, government, research, energy, healthcare, and enterprise targets; the actors blended malicious traffic with legitimate commercial proxy traffic (fastlink.ws) using ORB-style relays and rotated egress nodes, and defenders are advised to follow CISA/NCSC guidance and secure network and IoT devices.
