Cloudflare blocks largest recorded DDoS attack peaking at 3.8Tbps

Cloudflare observed and mitigated a month-long DDoS campaign of more than 100 hyper-volumetric attacks that peaked at 3.8 Tbps (the largest publicly recorded), targeting financial services, internet, and telecom networks; the botnet leveraged compromised devices (Asus routers, MikroTik, DVRs, web servers) primarily using UDP on a fixed port, and researchers warn that exposed CUPS servers could be abused for further amplification.
