The law enforcement operations targeting cybercrime in 2023

This report summarizes major 2022–2023 international law enforcement operations that infiltrated and disrupted a wide range of cybercriminal activities — including ransomware groups (Hive/Hunters, ALPHV/BlackCat, Ragnar Locker, DoppelPaymer), botnets (QakBot), credential markets (Genesis Market), encrypted communications platforms (EncroChat, Exclu), darkweb marketplaces (Kingdom, Monopoly), and numerous cryptocurrency-enabled fraud operations — resulting in large seizures of funds, arrests of hundreds to thousands of suspects, domain and infrastructure takedowns, and actions to return stolen assets to victims.
