Charter Communications data breach affects 4.9 million accounts

ShinyHunters claimed responsibility for a data breach of Charter Communications after a voice-phishing attack that compromised an employee Microsoft Entra account and allowed exfiltration of Salesforce data; Have I Been Pwned confirmed exposure of 4.9 million accounts containing names, emails, phone numbers, and physical addresses, and the extortion gang published the data when Charter declined to pay.
