Spanish police arrested a suspected hacker in Alicante accused of carrying out around 40 cyberattacks in 2024 against public and international organizations — including Spanish ministries, Guardia Civil, NATO, the US Army, the UN and ICAO — stealing databases and internal documents that were sold or posted on BreachForums under aliases such as 'natohub'. Investigators from Spain's CCN/CNI, Europol and US HSI assisted in identifying the suspect; seized computers, electronic devices and 50 cryptocurrency accounts; and note that additional accomplices or offenses have not been ruled out.
