Google Chrome to revoke notification access for inactive sites

Google is updating Chrome to automatically revoke notification permissions for websites with low user engagement, aiming to reduce alert fatigue across desktop and Android. Users will be notified when permissions are revoked and can easily restore them via Safety Check or by revisiting the site; the auto-revocation feature can also be disabled. This change is part of broader privacy and safety enhancements, including one-time permissions and earlier adjustments that reduced Chrome’s process privileges on Windows.
