Vietnam arrests suspects behind HiAnime anime piracy service

Vietnamese authorities arrested and are prosecuting seven individuals alleged to have operated HiAnime (formerly Zoro.to/Aniwatch), the largest anime piracy streaming service until its June shutdown; the group is accused of hosting over 26,000 pirated titles across 100+ sites and generating ~$12.85M in illegal ad revenue between 2020 and April 2026.
