Critical infrastructure software maker confirms ransomware attack

PSI Software SE disclosed that on February 15, 2024 it detected unusual network activity and subsequently shut down external connections and several IT systems; the disruption was later confirmed to be caused by a ransomware attack on its internal infrastructure. Authorities and the Federal Office for Information Security are involved in response and remediation, and the company has not found evidence of attacker pivoting to customer systems.
