Reports surfaced that numerous Anycubic 3D printers were modified to display a "hacked" message after a file (hacked_machine_readme.gcode) was distributed via the vendor's MQTT/API infrastructure; the message alleges a critical vulnerability enabling remote control of affected printers, claims nearly 2.94 million devices downloaded the warning, and researchers posted about unresolved vulnerabilities while Anycubic's app experienced outages—users were advised to disconnect printers until a patch is issued.
