OpenTable will end fully anonymous reviews on May 22, 2024, showing diners’ first names and profile photos on all new and past reviews to increase transparency; this has raised privacy concerns as review dates and names could identify users, and while diners can edit/remove reviews or profile pictures, there is currently no option to keep reviews anonymous.
