Romanian energy supplier Electrica hit by ransomware attack

Electrica Group, which supplies and distributes electricity to over 3.8 million customers in Romania, announced an ongoing ransomware attack and is working with national cybersecurity authorities to investigate; company statements and the Energy Ministry indicate SCADA and critical systems remain unaffected while protective measures have caused temporary disruptions to customer interactions.
