**Operation SIMCARTEL:** Europol and partners dismantled a sophisticated illegal SIM‑box service (websites gogetsms.com and apisim.com) that operated ~1,200 devices with 40,000+ SIMs to provision phone numbers for phishing, impersonation, extortion and other telecom frauds; authorities linked the infrastructure to millions of fake accounts, thousands of fraud cases across multiple countries, arrested suspects, and seized devices, servers, cash and crypto.
