Google announced that passkeys in Google Password Manager can now be created and automatically synced across Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and (beta) ChromeOS, with iOS support coming soon, protected by a new end-to-end encrypted recovery PIN or device screen lock; Windows Hello remains usable even if Google Password Manager is suggested by default. This broadens earlier Android-only functionality and aligns with Google’s ongoing shift to passwordless authentication across accounts and popular services.
