Brave's Cookiecrumbler tool taps community to help block cookie notices

Brave unveiled Cookiecrumbler, an open-source backend tool that crawls top sites via regional proxies, uses Puppeteer and LLMs to detect cookie consent banners, and publishes findings as GitHub issues for community review to minimize false positives and prevent site breakage. Designed with strict privacy safeguards (no user data, backend-only operation), the tool may be integrated into Brave after a full privacy review and is available for use by privacy tool developers, auditors, and adblock list maintainers.
