PornHub blocks North Carolina, Montana over new age verification laws

Aylo, the owner of Pornhub and other adult sites, has blocked access for users in Montana and North Carolina as new age-verification laws take effect, arguing that ID-based checks risk user privacy and may be inconsistently enforced. The report explains that such regulations could drive users to VPNs or lesser-known tools, increasing exposure to cyber threats, including malicious VPN extensions that hijack searches and VPN apps distributing information-stealing malware and mobile backdoors.
