Microsoft is testing a Quick Machine Recovery settings page in Windows 11 (Insider Beta/Dev channels) that streamlines configuring automated recovery from boot failures by leveraging Windows Update-targeted fixes delivered via WinRE, allowing remote removal of problematic drivers/updates and configuration adjustments. Introduced under the Windows Resiliency Initiative after the July 2024 outage, QMR will be enabled by default for Home and configurable in Pro/Enterprise via Intune.
