Microsoft has fixed a known issue causing Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote) to crash during typing or spell check due to conflicts with outdated Office 2016 proofing tools and language packs on systems running Version 2407 Build 17830.20138 or higher; affected users can confirm via Windows Event Viewer (Event 1000/1001 with 0xc0000005) and should update to Version 2409 builds (Beta 18021.15000, Current Channel Preview/Current Channel 18025.20000), uninstall legacy Office 2016 proofing tools, install the appropriate Office language packs, and perform an online Office repair or reinstall language packs if crashes persist.
