US sanctions Chinese firm, hacker behind telecom and Treasury hacks

OFAC sanctioned Yin Kecheng and Sichuan Juxinhe for involvement with Chinese state‑linked hacking groups (Salt/Silk Typhoon) that exploited a BeyondTrust zero‑day to breach the U.S. Department of the Treasury and compromised multiple U.S. telecommunications and ISP providers for espionage, attributing the activity to MSS‑linked APT operations and announcing financial sanctions and reward offers.
