ParkMobile pays... $1 each for 2021 data breach that hit 22 million

ParkMobile's 2021 data breach exposed personal and account information for roughly 22 million users (a 4.5 GB CSV containing names, emails, phone numbers, bcrypt-hashed passwords, addresses, license plates, and vehicle details). A $32.8M class-action settlement was reached, with affected users being offered up to $1 in in-app credits via a redeemable code, and ParkMobile warns of ongoing phishing/smishing campaigns exploiting the incident and settlement notifications.
